Dakota Electric receives dividend check from subsidiary

As a member-owned cooperative, Dakota Electric often issues dividend checks. However, Dakota Electric was on the receiving end when Energy Alternatives presented a dividend check for $800,000, which represents dividends from 2005 and 2006.

Energy Alternatives, a Dakota Electric subsidiary, is a full-service installer of backup generators for commercial and industrial organizations. Energy Alternatives handles all aspects of the project from bidding on equipment and subcontractors to offering leases, third party ownership, maintenance, monitoring and fueling contracts.
