Another round of CapX 2020 meetings finishes up

In late 2007, the Minnesota Department of Commerce (DOC) held public meetings throughout the state to gather input from the public concerning potential human and environmental impacts of the proposed CapX 2020 transmission line projects. Citizens were encouraged to make suggestions regarding alternatives to the proposed projects and to provide input on impacts that should be reviewed in the Environmental Report.

CapX 2020 is a joint effort among Minnesota's electric utilities to ensure adequate transmission is available to serve the growing demand for electricity and to transport renewable energy from rural areas to areas of Minnesota with the greatest demand for energy.
