Put your GreenTouch on Fort Snelling State Park

If you are like most Minnesota residents, you probably enjoy exploring Minnesota's great state parks. Dakota Electric now has a chance for you to not only spend a dayGreenTouch at Fort Snelling State Park, but also to volunteer at the park through the Minnesota Touchstone Energy Cooperatives' Project GreenTouch.

What:

  • Volunteer at Fort Snelling State Park during Project GreenTouch
  • Free lunch for volunteers
  • Free guided history walk from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources following lunch

When:

  • Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where:

  • Fort Snelling State Park

Who:

  • Dakota Electric welcomes individuals, families, youth groups, scouting organizations and other organizations looking for a service project.

Registration Information:

This year marks the ninth year of the partnership between Minnesota's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and Minnesota State Parks. Together, the cooperatives also donate $40,000 to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to help fund the State Park Guide and the Junior Park Naturalist program.
