EnergyWise® Heat Pump Off-Peak Programs

Heat pumps save consumers money by providing an efficient way to heat and cool their home or business. The savings continue to grow with Dakota Electric’s EnergyWise^® off-peak program.

Program Details

• Available for both air-source and ground-source heat pumps.
• You receive a reduced price on the electricity your heat pump uses.
• On days when homes and businesses are using a lot of electricity and purchasing wholesale electricity is more expensive, Dakota Electric will periodically interrupt power to your heat pump.
• When interruptions occur during the heating season, a back-up heat source will take over and heat your home.
• Interruptions usually occur only on the coldest and hottest days of the year when more people depend on air conditioners and electric heaters to stay comfortable.
