As a member of Dakota Electric Association, you’re connected to a powerful source of energy: co-op employees.

LaDonna Boyd, Dakota Electric’s economic development director, works hard to keep area businesses going strong. For more than 20 years, she has helped attract businesses and jobs to our area, support existing businesses and develop a qualified work force. This summer, the Economic Development Association of Minnesota named her State Economic Development Practitioner of the Year for her commitment to community.

Peggy Johnson, Dakota Electric’s community relations director, links your co-op with businesses, schools and organizations throughout the area to strengthen and enhance our communities. Plus she brings “Get Charged!,” an electricity education program, to area schools.

Other employees are also involved helping with Meals on Wheels, United Way, Habitat for Humanity and more.

Dakota Electric has established and maintained connections with our local communities for more than sixty years. Through partnerships with our schools, businesses and other community organizations, we work hard to enhance the quality of life for all members of our community.
