As a member of Dakota Electric Association, you now belong to one of the largest electric distribution co-ops in the country. Dakota Electric is committed to providing safe, reliable electric energy and excellent customer service.

When you choose Dakota Electric, you're more than a customer; you're a member and part owner of the business that brings you electric service. Plus, you'll receive a monthly newsletter called "Circuits"  that provides up-to-date information about your electric cooperative, money-saving programs and special events.

The choice to have your voice heard
Dakota Electric's Board of Directors is comprised of 12 members. Each year, through voting, you'll have the opportunity to fill three seats, or you can run for the board yourself. As part owner, you have a say in the affairs of your cooperative.

Dakota Electric uses the latest technology to help minimize the occurrence and length of power outages in your area. It is important that we have your current telephone number for this system to work efficiently. If you call to report a power outage an automated system cross-references your information so we may efficiently restore your power.
