When a fire left Burncliff Apartments’ residents without a home shortly before Christmas in 2008, more than $1 million in donations poured in to help residents start over. Now, more than a year after the fire, Burncliff is starting over as Parkwood Pointe Apartments.
In addition to several new amenities, The Goodman Group, which owns the property, installed ENERGY STAR® appliances and lighting in each unit and many common areas.
“[The Goodman Group] could’ve saved money by installing standard appliances, but they decided to go with ENERGY STAR despite the added cost,” said Nick Reynolds, Rochon Corporation’s project superintendent for the Parkwood Pointe project.
