However, it appears the cost to purchase and deliver reliable power will continue to increase, and as a result, the price you pay for electricity will continue to rise.
Here are three factors that impact your electric bill:
- Increased Energy Use - Higher electricity consumption, primarily for air conditioning in the summer
- RTA changes - The RTA line item on your bill can cause rates to increase or decrease.
- Summer Rates - Dakota Electric’s summer rates are higher because the wholesale energy we must purchase on your behalf is more expensive
