A reminder that Dakota Electric will never call you and ask you for your credit card number. Contact the authorities if you receive a call from someone saying they are calling from Dakota Electric about a past-due balance and you must provide your credit card number in order to avoid disconnection.

- An independent service provider will charge a $3.95 convenience fee for each $500 segment for transactions made with a credit card or debit card.
- The convenience fee for using an electronic check is $3.95 regardless of the amount.
- Dakota Electric does not receive any money from the collection of convenience fees.
- You will be charged a convenience fee for each transaction you make.
