EnergyWise® Electric Heat Off-Peak Programs
For members who select an electric heater or electric floor heating system, Dakota Electric provides an off-peak program that helps them stay warm while saving money.
Program Details
• You receive a reduced price on the electricity your heater or floor heating system uses.
• Storage heaters gather enough heat energy for your entire day in the late evening and early morning when fewer homes and businesses are using electricity and wholesale energy costs are lower. The heater then releases the heat throughout the day.
Or
• Dakota Electric interrupts power to your heater during periods of high electricity use when wholesale energy costs are exceptionally high.
