Call Before You Dig!

Remember that power lines are underground as well. State law requires anyone planning to dig to contact Gopher State One Call. Doing so protects you and your property.

As a cooperative, Dakota Electric has a responsibility to be active in the local community and help keep people safe around electricity. A large part of fulfilling this commitment involves bringing programs to school on safety and the environment and providing resources for teachers and parents who home school.

We also provide programs and resources to help adults learn more about how electric industry and staying safe around electricity.

Applications now being accepted for the 2015 Youth Tour

Dakota Electric Association is offering area students a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. from June 13-18, 2015.

Students who are currently enrolled as juniors or seniors, and their electricity is supplied by Dakota Electric Association, are eligible to apply. Five students are chosen to attend the Rural Electric Youth Tour.
