DESCRIPTION:Youth baseball players have an opportunity to learn baseball from staff at the Minnesota Twins organization during their visit to Farmington on May 19. \nBoys and girls from the ages of 6 to 13 can participate in the 2018 Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinic\, which teaches basic fundamentals including hitting\, fielding and throwing. No registration is required; participants can just show up at Tiger 1 Baseball Field at Highway 50 and Akin Road. The clinic is divided into two 90-minute sessions; the first one for youth 6 to 9 years old begins at 10 a.m.; and youth 10 to 13 should arrive at 11:30 a.m. \nFind out more.

The event is geared toward high school students and their parents but is open to anyone interested in energy careers. Guests will have a chance to tour the facility and speak with representatives from various Dakota Electric careers\, including: \n\ntechnician electrician\nelectrical engineer\nIT/software developer\nfinance\nenergy services\nmechanic\nlineworker\ndistribution system operator\nhuman resources\nmarketing/communications\n\nWe will have drawings for college scholarships for students who attend the open house. Students must be attending college in 2018 to be eligible.

Additional free entertainment includes the Wings Financial World of Birds show (weather permitting)\, a strolling magician and music by the Rosemount High School Marching Band. \nTickets and Admission\nBills received between June 13 and July 6 include member tickets. One ticket admits your entire family. We also accept a recent electric bill. The event is held rain or shine. Sorry\, no rain checks. The tickets have no resale value and cannot be sold. \nFood Shelf Donation\nPlease consider making a donation to our local food shelves by bringing non-perishable food items. \nOther details\nTo drop off disabled or senior guests\, follow the school bus signs to the bus station near the south entrance. Motorized carts are available for rent at $10 per hour — maximum $40. Wheelchairs are also available at no charge. Both are on a first-come\, first-served basis.
