Dakota Electric makes paying your bill as easy and convenient as possible.

 

Members asked. We listened. Billing and payments have been some of the biggest pain points for our members. Based on your feedback, we have been working to implement an entirely new system to give you smarter tools, better service, more control, and increased security.

Coming in February 2026: MyDEA — your new member portal and first stop for all your account needs. With MyDEA, you can easily monitor your electric usage and outages, sign up for communications from

 Dakota Electric, view your account balance, pay your bill, and more — all in near real-time.

You will be charged a convenience fee for each transaction you make.

  • Do not staple or tape your check to your payment coupon.
  • Write your Dakota Electric account number on your check.
