A 12-person Board of Directors, consisting of and elected by members, governs the cooperative. Dakota Electric’s Board of Directors acts on behalf of the membership to guide operations and future planning for the cooperative.

The Board of Directors is comprised of three members from each of its four districts. Directors serve three-year terms and are elected by you, our member-owners. Each year, one seat in each of the four districts is up for election. Any eligible member may seek election in the district in which they reside.
