Battery-powered yard tools
Dakota Electric has rebates ranging from $25-$50 for qualifying battery-powered yard tools. Today’s battery-powered yard tools can handle most yard work, are reliable and easy to operate and maintain. Visit our Rebates Page for more information.
- Close blinds and drapes during the day to keep the heat out.
- Turn off lights and ceiling fans when you leave a room. Fans cool people, not rooms.
- Schedule regular maintenance for your cooling equipment to maximize efficiency.
- Use solar lights to brighten up your outdoor space. Replace air filters once per month or follow manufacturers guidelines to maximize efficiency
- Install a programmable thermostat to easily adjust the temperature when you are sleeping or away from home.
- Seal cracks and openings to prevent warm air from leaking into your home.
- On hot days, avoid using the oven. Cook on the stove, microwave or grill outside.
