Dakota Electric Association’s Board of Directors recently visited the Farmington Veterans’ Memorial. The cooperative helped with the project through financial donations totaling $6,000 and by storing the pavers and the folded granite flag at the company’s warehouse during construction.

Dakota Electric’s Board of Directors received a tour of the memorial from Leon Orr, the chairman of the project. Dakota Electric has several veterans that have worked at the company over the years as well as family members of employees who have served.

“We are proud to be one of the many supporters of this beautiful monument,” CEO Greg Miller said. “This is a wonderful memorial to say “thank you” to our service men and women and provide a memorial that will help generations of our children remember those who helped keep us free.”
