Rate Case Update
On January 16, 2026, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) issued its formal order approving the settlement agreement reached in June 2025 regarding Dakota Electric’s rate case.
On February 13, 2026, Dakota Electric filed its compliance documentation with the PUC, confirming that final rates align with the approved order.
New rates are expected to take effect in spring 2026. Members will be notified as soon as the official start date is confirmed.

Crops Day
The 18th annual Crops Day, hosted by experts from the University of Minnesota and the Dakota County Soil & Water Conservation District, will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Dakota Electric’s office in Farmington. The event presents local research results and crop management strategies for producers and agricultural professionals, with free admission and lunch included.
