Charge Smarter

Dakota Electric offers three convenient options for charging your EV at home, along with a $500 rebate to help offset the cost of installing a charging circuit when you enroll in the storage or time-of-use programs.

Off-peak storage rate

Get the lowest cost for EV charging by powering up overnight. Electricity is available only during off-peak hours (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.), when demand is low and rates are too.

Time-of-use rate

Prefer flexibility? Charge anytime you like, with discounted rates during off-peak hours to help you save when the grid is less busy.

Virtual metered EV charging program

Skip the extra hardware. The virtual metered EV program makes it easy to take advantage of EV charging rates without needing to install another meter.

Electric Home

Install an electric water heater

Install electric heating

There are many benefits to installing electric thermal storage (ETS) heating in your home. If you are considering electric heat for those hard-to-heat areas, purchase an ETS heating system and receive a $50/kW rebate when you enroll in one of Dakota Electric’s off-peak programs.
