Dakota Electric awards $50,000 in scholarships

Thirty-four area high school students and six Inver Hills Community College students received scholarships this spring for their continuing education from Dakota Electric Association. The donation to local students totaled $50,000. Seven Inver Hills students and 16 Dakota County Technical College students received scholarships last fall. EPA regulations on new power plants will reduce emissions and could increase cost of power
